Seeing Paris: Light, Streets & Stories
A 3-Day On-Location Photography Workshop in Paris
Learn to photograph Paris beyond the landmarks — through light, atmosphere, and the quiet moments that tell the city’s story.
Paris isn’t loud.
It reveals itself slowly
in reflections, gestures, passing light,
and quiet moments between destinations.
This 3-day workshop is designed for photographers
who want to move beyond postcard images
and learn how to see, feel,
and photograph Paris with intention.
In Paris, light becomes structure.
A DIFFERENT WAY TO EXPERIENCE PARIS
Over three immersive days, we explore the city together;
its streets, architecture, faces, and light
focusing on storytelling, mood, and personal vision,
not technical overwhelm.
We work at the pace of the city itself;
early mornings, quiet corners,
and the moments most visitors walk past.
WHO THIS WORKSHOP IS FOR
This workshop is designed for photographers
who are already comfortable with their camera and ready to go deeper.
For those drawn to cinematic, atmospheric imagery and to the quiet moments that often go unnoticed.
For photographers who prefer real streets over classrooms, and want guidance in how to see, not just what to shoot.
You don’t need to be a professional.
But you should be curious, observant,
and ready to refine your eye.
This is for those who want to photograph Paris with intention, not just memory.
THE EXPERIENCE
This is a workshop built around walking, observing, and photographing,
not rushing from one location to the next.
We move slowly and intentionally, allowing space for:
Individual feedback
Real-time shooting guidance
Quiet observation
Creative confidence
There is time to pause.
To notice.
To adjust.
To build confidence not through theory,
but through practice…in the streets, in the moment.
Group size is intentionally limited
to ensure a personal and thoughtful experience.
WORKSHOP STRUCTURE
Day 1 — Streets & Storytelling
We begin in the streets — moving through historic Paris neighborhoods,
focusing on observation, composition, and timing.
You’ll learn to anticipate moments as they unfold,
working with layering, light, and movement,
and developing a more intuitive approach to street photography.
Candid scenes and environmental portraits emerge naturally,
with real-time guidance throughout.
Day 2 — Architecture & Sunset Portraits
The focus shifts to structure — lines, symmetry, and detail.
We explore courtyards, passages, and the geometry of Paris,
learning how to frame and simplify architectural scenes.
As the day softens, we move into a guided sunset portrait session,
working with a model to explore emotion, movement, and fading light.
Day 3 — Cafés, Atmosphere & Low Light
The final day slows even further.
We photograph café culture and everyday Parisian life,
focusing on quiet moments, mood, and visual storytelling.
As light fades, you’ll learn to work confidently in low-light conditions,
ending with an optional evening walk for atmospheric street photography.
